Lunchtime Concerts in April

We are drawing to the close of this season but there are still some excellent concerts to come.
April 3rd – Joyce Clarke (piano) Joyce doesn’t really need any comment as she has played for us a number of times over previous seasons both as solo pianist and as pianist for the Beacon Piano Trio.
April 10th – Annabel Rooney (cello) and Josephine Pickering (piano) Again both these artists have played for us before. Annabel is Ian & Josephine McLaughlan’s daughter.
April 17th – Stella Maris Trio = Victoria Armillota (soprano) Iryna Linytaka (mezzo-soprano) and Sam Baker (piano) This Trio has performed a few times before so you’ll know how good they are.
April 24th – An-Ting Chan (piano) At last those who have asked me if An-Ting is coming again will have their reward for she is a brilliant pianist and people were very keen to hear her again. I think she is the only artist in all the years of our concerts who has received a standing ovation.
May 1st – This is an extra Charity Concert and will be given by Iryna Linytaka (Mezzo-soprano) with Ekaterina Shetliffe (piano) Iryna is a real mezzo, not a soprano who sings a bit lower!! She has a remarkable voice. They will be performing a programme of Mozart and Rossini.
Instead of the proceeds going to church projects this concert will be for Water Aid, a charity which Glenorchy has supported in recent years, so I hope you will be generous.
